Beginning Stained Glass, Copper Foil Method       

Students will explore their creative side, as we open the Merlich Art Glass studio for our Beginning Stained Glass class.  Students will learn how to create beautiful sun catchers or small art pieces using the copper foil method of stained glass. You will learn proper glass cutting, shaping and soldering techniques, and all the materials you need will be included in the cost of the class (excluding framing materials). No previous glass cutting experience is necessary—we’ll teach you everything you need to know! 

Date:  6 Tuesdays, Nov. 11 - December 16

Time:  7:00 pm to 8:30 pm                                                                 

Location:  Merlich Art Glass Studio

Cost:  $150 (glass and materials included!)

On Going, Progressive Classes at Merlich Art Glass Studio and Gallery 

These classes are arranged and priced in blocks of time, and are designed for students who want more individualized attention, while creating larger, more complex works of stained glass art.  You may purchase an 8 hour block, which consists of four 2-hour sessions.  The sessions do not have to be used consecutively, so if you miss a scheduled class, you can make it up later.  All materials used in class are provided to you (excluding framing materials) at no extra charge.   These classes are progressive, meaning all skill levels are welcome.  Students work at their own pace, and projects of varying complexity are in progress at any given time.

Let your creativity shine through with this beginning class in the art of stained glass. Using the copper foil method, you will learn proper glass selection, cutting, shaping and soldering. Master artisan Beglar Merlich will teach you how to cut and assemble dazzling sun catchers that you will enjoy for years to come
